I agree completely. Heartfelt thanks to all the vets who have served in the past and those who continue to serve today. You have helped to safeguard the fragile freedoms that we all enjoy and often take for granted. ....

Memorial Day is for the memory of deceased vets. To them I send my deepest gratitude. Those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, may it not be in vain. To those still in harms way, thank you and God be with you. ....

The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender, or submission.
John F. Kennedy.
May God bless those who have died in the service of their country, keep watch over those who are defending their fellow man, and deliver them safe to loving arms & hearts, and make the rest of us thankful for those brave few.
Ted Murphy.
God bless to all and have a safe and happy holiday from your friend to the north. ....

In the mid 90's we built a house on a hill along a major county road that carries about 2000 vechles per day. We live about a mile south of our hometown which is about like Mayberry on the TV. Word got around that Frank was putting up a 35 ft. tall flagpole, so one of the local WW2 vets stoped by wondering when we would raise the first flag. Some of them showed up, we hoisted the flag, they steped back, snapped to attention, and saluted. I shed a few tears over that one, so Old Glory has stood there 24/7 properly lighted since that day as an honor to our country and our vets. Frank. ....

The "Price of Freedom" is never cheap and never stops. We all see this every day in Iraq. It is shameful that Holidays have become a reason just to get off work but we should honar the ones that have paid that price of Freedom for us. ....

Think about walking a mile in a soldier's, sailor's, marine's, airmans, or coastguardmen's shoes and then think about the tremendous contributions they have made in our and our nations behalf. God bless them all! It is still impossible for me to walk through the military cemetary and keep a dry eye or not get a crackly voice. Have a great Memorial Day. ....
